James Bzura creates large scale objects that explore the ancestral memory of the West. These pictorial sculptures are designed to hang on walls, opening up a portal to a visionary horizon. He begins by designing, shaping and sculpting in wood, then layers in paint as still life and landscape. Additions such as gold leaf, pipestone, turquoise, or lapis are blended into relief sections and pictorial passages. Two and three dimensional segments fuse in the sparks of a truly creative vision of Western culture.
